Tesco superstore plan withdrawn

The contentious planning application for the redevelopment of the Meteor Ford site on the Oxford Road/St Mary's Row corner has been withdrawn today.

Applicants often withdraw their application if planning officers are about to recommend refusal. By withdrawing the applicant has a second chance to submit a planning application for the same site without having to pay again, a saving of potentially thousands of pounds which may indicate that a further amended application can be expected.
